Web Development Supervisor

Job Description and Requirements:
    Supervisor of staff (software developers and database administrator) who build and maintain custom browser-based applications, as well as, administer third party applications.


    Project management as well as hands-on technical tasks:
    • Manage projects from requirements to deployment
    • Manage software releases of third-party apps
    • Gather and document requirements for new apps
    • Troubleshoot, fix and/or enhance existing apps
    • Write SQL queries, functions and stored procedures
    • Develop, troubleshoot, fix and/or enhance SSRS reports
    • Work with vendors and users to configure/customize third-party apps


    • B.S. Degree in an Information Technology field
    • Three (3) years of programming experience, preferably in ASP.NET
    • Three (3) years of SQL Server experience (writing database queries)
    • Experience with PL/SQL (Oracle) a plus
    • Experience with WordPress or other CMS products a plus
    • Experience with HR/Payroll systems a plus


    • Valid New Jersey driver’s license.


    • Ability to manage multiple development/support projects at once.
    • Ability to manage an application from design to deployment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate equally with end-user community and internal ITS staff.
    • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment and deliver assigned projects within established time, scope and budget parameters.
    • Passion for learning new technologies and applying new knowledge experiences.
    • Highly energetic, flexible and self-motivated.
    • Ability to understand business objectives and the infrastructure needed to support them.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, debug and problem solve at the highest level
    • Ability to demonstrate commitment to Monmouth County’s core values and purpose.
