Job Description and Requirements:
  • The Monmouth County Engineering and Traffic Division has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Traffic Engineer.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    EXPERIENCE:
    • Five years’ Traffic Engineer work experience including the following:
    • Analyses and interpretation of traffic data and traffic operations;
    • Knowledge in NJDOT roadway design manual, MUTCD, HCM, ITE guidelines, AASHTO and Title 39;
    • Working with traffic control systems and maintenance and protection of traffic including detours;
    • Preparation of specifications for traffic related items and activities.

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

    LICENSE(S):
    Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license;
    Professional Engineer (PE) License a plus.
