Job Description and Requirements:
  • The Office of Professional Standards (OPS), County of Monmouth, is tasked with investigating allegations of employee misconduct, processes and metes out employee discipline, provides guidance and support to various County departments, stakeholders, as well as other support services to employees and departments of the County of Monmouth.

    The Human Resources Investigations Analyst will work closely with our internal teams to manage the investigation operations life cycle. The ideal person will exhibit the ability to think analytically while maintaining a high-level of confidentiality and organization in a fast-paced environment. This role will be focused on providing administrative and analytical support to OPS staff, gathering and analyzing data, producing various analytical reports, taking notes during investigative interviews, and working closely with OPS investigators and Employment Law Counsel to resolve employment misconduct matters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Partner with and support OPS Investigations team and Employment Law Counsel
    Produce detailed notes during internal investigation interviews
    Partner with OPS Investigations team to manage dashboards and metrics
    Maintain and organize detailed notes in the case management system
    Create and manage processes for the investigations lifecycle to meet delivery timelines
    Prepare OPS investigators for investigations by reviewing analysis and research prior to interviews
    Maintain various databases specific to disciplinary hearings, payroll, and investigation statistics


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor’s Degree
    3+ years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, or as a Litigation Paralegal
    Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to flexibly adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
    Experience in document review and analysis
    Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    Typing experience


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Experience in customer service
    Proven analytical and problem solving skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, possess the ability to create statistical reports, charts and graphs
    Employee relations and/or HR Generalist experience
    Ability to identify issues and gather facts during the interview, research, and analysis phases
    Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy
    Capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing County policies and practices to determine appropriate action
    Ability to interact with all levels of a professional organization
    Ability to utilize and analyze surveillance camera footage for evidentiary purposes
    Ability to function independently in a team environment
    Knowledge of New Jersey Civil Service Commission and FLSA regulations
    Ability to transcribe statements and correspondence
    Attention to detail and accuracy
    New Jersey Notary
